I was at Jenny Craig today. According to their scales. I gained 5 pounds in just 2 weeks. Mathematically, that means I ate approximately 15,000 calories more than I burned. That sounds impossible, right? Unfortunately, that is really only just over 1,000 calories a day more than I burned. According to BMI-Calculator.net, I probably burn just under 2,000 calories a day, unless I exercise. Sigh. I haven't been exercising. I have been eating. I guess I did gain that much weight.
So my project for the next 10 weeks is to stay "on plan" -- eat on my Jenny Craig menu and get in exercise at least 5 days a week. If I can just stick with it for 70 days, I should drop back down to my happy weight.
I like making goals of days, not pounds. When I say I'll stick with this until I lose x number of pounds, my end date never, ever gets here. I won't mention how long I've been a member of Jenny Craig, but let's just say, it has been a long time. I lost weight, then lost focus and gained it back. (Not their fault-- the plan works, but only when you do what they say.) However, if I say I will do this for 70 days, I know that the days will pass and the end date will come.
10 weeks, 70 days, how many pounds??
Off to exercise! Marybet
